1. Investors

2. Foreign investor makes an investment of CAD$ 800,000 in the Federal Fund by making payment via the Receiver General of Canada. The amount invested by the foreign investor will return or repaid to investor after five years and three months after the exact date of deposit. On the other hand, the investor could pay CAD$ 220,000 to a funding company in Canada who in turn will be depositing CAD$ 800,000 in a Federal Fund. However, the money paid to a finance company is non-refundable.
3. The foreign investor must have a business experience that is divided into two categories.
(i) The overseas investor must have at least two years experience. One year experience should be in management and control of qualifying business in which any two factors must be included namely employment, sales, and net income.
(ii) Experience for one year in business management or a part of business at executive level and at least five employees directly under the applicant.

However, federal program, investor in Quebec program must spend CDN $ 800,000 and investor have a net worth of CDN $ 1,600,000.
Entrepreneur
1. Applicant have net worth of CAD$ 300,000. It may belong to both husband and wife.
2. The proposed business must have adequate size as describe in Investor class at S.no. c (i)
3. Foreign investor must establish a legal business in Canada within three years duration after entering in this country. There are four basic parameters, but investor must fulfill at least two of them.
4. The investor must have the purpose and skill to:
(i) Organize a percentage of fairness of a qualifying Canadian business equal to or more than 33.33%;
(ii) Offer lively and continuing administration of the qualifying Canadian business; and
(iii) Generate minimum one incremental full-time job equal for one or more Canadian nationals or permanent residents other than the entrepreneur applicant and their family members.
According to Canada–Quebec Accord, Quebec province has its own entrepreneur program. Quebec invite entrepreneurs according its own terms and conditions. The Quebec program entrepreneurs must plan to reside in Quebec. In general, with the federal programs, entrepreneurs in the Quebec program must have a net amount of CDN $ 300,000.
 Self-employed person
Applicant must hold at least two years of experience of one of the following types in the time starting five years prior to the date of application:
(i) Self-employment in cultural activities or athletics; or
(ii) Contribution, at the world class level, in cultural activities or athletics; or
(iii) Farm administration experience.
In general no immigration terms are obligatory on this class.
The self-employed immigrants must be equipped with relevant experience, plan and capability to:
(i) To start a business that creates jobs opportunity for themselves and that considerable input to cultural activities or athletics in Canada; or
(ii) Acquire and run a farm in Canada.
