NURSING JOBS IN DUBAI & UAE
Dubai is a country with one of the best standards of life in the entire world. Thus, most of its industries are booming specifically in the medical sector. Hospitals in Dubai are made with a huge amount of investment and claim to provide good pay and workplace environments.
Nurses in the medical industry of Dubai currently face a mixed life concerning their treatment as professionals in their business environments. While their demand is high, several nurses have reported that they are not treated very well where they work. There have been several instances where they have faced violent behaviour at work such as lateral violence, bullying, social isolation and inappropriate language used. This behaviour seems to have racial undertones since nationality seems to play a part in how targeted they are. All of this coupled with the stresses of work has caused many nurses significant mental anguish. However, these workplace incidents have been rare and already significant action has been taken to make sure they do not occur in the future such as changing hospital policy to display zero tolerance for such incidents and having committees made to investigate these claims.
The nursing industry offers a lot of jobs, and currently, there are many available due to a shortage of qualified nurses. Nurses are crucial to the operation of the newer medical facilities opening all over Dubai, but they face a shortage due to a lack of students pursuing nursing as a profession in Dubai. Steps are being taken to increase the nurses available for hiring by recruiting from other countries and increasing incentives to make more people take up the profession or migrate to work in Dubai’s nursing sector. Nurses also make a respectable amount of wages with an average salary of 8500 AUD per month with an upper and lower limit of 16,000 AUD and 3,500 AUD respectively. Along with that, they enjoy perks such as accommodation from the hospital, medical and life insurance, travel allowances etc. However, the high amount of wages and other perks require high qualifications which vary depending on the type of nurse employed. Such as registered nurses required three years minimum of nursing school training while midwives required one and a half years of midwife training.
